30 Day Water Challenge!
Hello everyone! It's been quite a while since I've done a wellness or fitness challenge. I decided to bring my wellness instagram back so we could work on a new challenge together!
Water is so important especially in the summer or when you're working out. Water is one of the most important components of the human body as it makes up 75% of muscle tissue and 10% of fatty tissue.
Water makes up over half our body and we need to replace the water that we use every day. The Food and Nutrition Board recommends that women get at least 91 ounces and that men get 125 ounces. But since we will be exercising and since it is summer (and it's been over 100F here in Arizona) I will be drinking at least 100 ounces per day.
For this challenge we will be drinking at least the required amount of water (and more when exercising and/or in hot weather) every day for the next 30 days! The challenge will start June 16th and will go until July 15th.
Some tips for the challenge:
Drink 10-20 ounces of water before eating a meal.
Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go. I got this 40 ounce water bottle from Amazon.
Make sure to drink water while working out.
You can also get your water intake from food as well (soups, broths, fruit, juice, etc) though at least 80% should be from beverages and only 20% should be from food.
