My Morning Routine | Summer 2018
Good morning! I hope everyone is having a good start to the week! I thought I'd make a post about my new morning routine that I have gotten into. My routine changes when it gets warmer out here in Arizona because the temperature rises quickly in the morning so I tend to work out at night.
I usually wake up around 7AM on weekdays but on weekends I may sleep in later. I usually wake up and take a whiff of my lemon oil first thing. Then I get to brushing my hair, washing my face, and putting on makeup. Then I go down stairs, turn on a motivational podcast or audio book, and feed the fur-babies their breakfast.
While they're eating I start my day by getting some water boiling for my tea, getting breakfast together, and drinking some lime water and taking my supplements.
Once I have my breakfast and tea made and the kitties are done with their breakfast I get their harnesses on them and let them outside (making sure no rattlesnakes or scorpions are in our backyard first). This usually happens by 07:30.
While they're outside I eat my breakfast. I'm usually not hungry first thing in the morning so I stick with something simple like fruit and toast or maybe a bagel. I used to always have coffee first thing in the morning but the past few weeks I have slowly been tapering myself off it and now I have only had tea in the mornings for the past week or two.
After I'm done eating, I read my devotional "The Love Dare" while sipping on my tea. Once that is done I usually plan out my day while listening to an audio book, podcast, or watching something on Youtube.
I usually hang out with the furbabies outside for about an hour but if it gets too hot I will bring them inside sooner. They tend to want to be out even when its over 100F so I make sure they have fresh water with them and I also bought them cooling mats that they enjoy when they get too warm.
After I bring them inside I wipe them down with baby wipes to get any pollen and dirt off them. They both have allergies (Lando's is really bad) so this helps a little. Then I get started on the dishes and picking up. I empty the dishes out of the dishwasher if they're clean and then I put any leftover dishes from the sink into the dishwasher. I also pick up around the living room and the office and sweep the downstairs. After this I brush my teeth, get dressed, and am ready to start the day!
